During a famine, a little girl was cursed by her own mother as a jinx and abandoned in the snow on the back mountain.
The Zhang family found her and took her in.
Who knew that instead of bringing them bad luck, she would bring them good fortune?
The eldest Zhang son's wife, who had been unable to conceive for years, became pregnant with twins.
The second Zhang son went up the mountain to pick wild vegetables and came back carrying a wild boar.
The third Zhang son, who had a lame leg, could suddenly walk with ease.
They even built a new house, and their lives just kept getting better.
After one happy surprise after another, Old Mrs. Zhang knelt and thanked the heavens: "Thank you for blessing us! Our Tangtang is a little lucky star!"
