In his previous life, Su Li was killed by Kong Huanxi. After Kong Huanxi's entire family was brutally murdered, he was desperate to increase his cultivation. He went so far as to kill his husband to pursue the righteous path, finally taking his revenge and getting what he wanted.
But love is the most complicated thing in the world. Before he knew it, he had fallen deeply into it and could not pull himself free.
For a hundred years after Su Li's death, he traveled far and wide, searching for spiritual treasures that could bring Su Li back to life. Every attempt failed.
Then, by chance, the two met again. Kong Huanxi was shocked to discover that the reason he had failed for a century was that Su Li had never died. But Su Li no longer recognized him. Deep down, Kong Huanxi sensed that they had no future together. Perhaps his inner demons had grown too strong, or perhaps he had already given up on life. In the end, he suffered a cultivation deviation and died.
When he opened his eyes again, he had been reborn.
