The Boy Who Would Be King!

[Young and reckless, a boy rises to be king]

[With lofty ambitions, dragons and tigers spread their wings]

Time flies like a white pony passing through a gap. In the blink of an eye, several years have gone by.

I remember how, three years ago, my good-for-nothing father brought me to a small county town.

Back then, I hated his mediocrity. Whenever he went away, he’d be gone for years at a time, or at least several months. He was always telling me, “Our family doesn’t have much. Don’t get into fights with other kids. If they hit you, don’t hit back. If they curse you, don’t answer.”

But even more than his mediocrity, I hated his cowardice. When other kids got bullied, their parents stood up for them. My dad would only bow and apologize to the other kids, then drag me away. Once we got home, he’d sit by the door and smoke without saying a word.

As for my mother, apart from the few years she spent with me when I was little, she was completely out of contact. Whenever I asked my dad about her, he’d change the subject instead of giving me a straight answer. He never answered any of my questions about her.

At school, everyone bullied me. Then one day, I found the courage to fight back. From that moment on, everything changed. I embarked on a road of no return, a road I could never turn back from!

Step by step, I uncovered the secret my parents had kept buried for years.
