[Funny power fantasy + palace intrigue + conspiracy + revenge + two equally strong leads + strong female lead]
Yan Rongruo, a girl with different-colored eyes, was once branded an ill-fated girl because of her unusual gaze. But luck was on her side: she happened upon the heir to the throne, who had been living among commoners, and saved him with her keen mind and quick wit. After being made a county princess, she rose from humble beginnings to become a noblewoman.
She thought she'd been dealt a terrible hand, but with her “family” watching over her, she made a name for herself in the capital. Others mocked her for her rural origins, never realizing that her wealth of life experience would save her from danger time and again.
General Qin Haoyu was coerced by Rongruo into teaching her spear techniques and became her master. As they spent time together, he gradually fell for her. Whenever he tried to protect Rongruo, he discovered that Yan Rongruo was every bit his equal in a fight.
Yan Rongruo's sharp tongue seemed dipped in poison. She picked fights with everyone and everything.
“Rongruo, don't lick your lips. I'm afraid you'll poison yourself.”
