A Dream in the Helmet

Scientists conduct in-depth research into the topic of “a madman suddenly regaining his senses one day” and develop a headset called “Dreamshift.” It lets its wearer dream of different eras, and they can only wake up once the people in the dream have died.

Young Lu Jinshui, who had planned to lie flat, accidentally finds a Dreamshift headset and dreams himself back to 2018. With no memories of the original owner, he relies on his own talent and ideas to rise step by step in the dream. He finds his biological parents and improves living conditions for his friends, relatives, and people in impoverished areas. Using his wits, he guides them out of hardship and helps them gain a deeper understanding of the world. After going through all kinds of experiences, he gradually rises to greater positions of power.
