Bound for Three Lifetimes: The Ballad of Xianyun

Bai Chu thought that after a great battle, he would make a name for himself, but the Ghost King cursed him, forcing him to descend to the mortal realm and undergo tribulations. Luckily, Bai Yuan secretly came to his aid, though it didn't really help. He had hoped to lie flat, but fate had other plans. Down in the mortal realm, he got caught up in a struggle for royal power, and back in heaven, he was forced to fight again. Fortunately, Bai Yuan was always there, quietly by his side. Whether they can achieve a happy ending is up to fate.

Opening poem of A Three-Life Pact

Eighteen years since Yun Ying and I parted,

A chilly early-winter night, sleepless still.

Candle shadows flicker beside the desk,

First snow falls by the winding railing.

A fresh thought comes, but words won't flow,

I gather idle phrases and make a poem.

With a little free time tonight, I find some joy,

My pen guided by inspiration, I write of a fated love.
