In Honghuang, I Let the Strongest Across the Heavens Experience a Loving Touch

“The primordial wilderness stretches far and wide, and the demon race is in peril! The Heavenly Court has lost the Way, corrupt ministers hold power, the weak are wronged, and hope is all but gone! I, Zhang Jue, bear the Mandate of Great Peace. With my brothers Zhang Liang and Zhang Bao, I offer this sacrifice to Heaven, establish the Way of Great Peace, save the demon race from its suffering, and pray for the primordial wilderness to be reborn!” His voice rolled like thunder, piercing clouds and mist.

Zhang Liang and Zhang Bao brought forth an altar carved from primordial spiritwood. Its carvings seemed alive, its surface glittered with spirit crystals, and purifying spirit flames burned at its four corners, deep green and profound. They could cleanse the world's corruption and reach straight to the spirit vault. Zhang Jue laid out the offerings: a thousand-year-old demon ginseng shaped like a spirit child, brimming with spiritual power; a ten-thousand-year-old spirit rhinoceros horn, translucent and warm, able to open minds and awaken wisdom; and a piece of divine iron from a fallen Chaos star, no larger than a square inch yet as heavy as a star, filled with power to destroy the heavens. Every offering embodied their sincere devotion to the Way.

Zhang Jue cut his fingertip, letting drops of his essence blood fall. Blood-red light shot into the sky, blending with the spirit flames. “Heaven above, hear me! I swear by my blood and soul to establish the Way of Great Peace and champion equality, mutual aid, and shared prosperity. There shall be no high or low among the demon race; all are brothers and sisters. Resources shall be shared equally, and all shall seek the Great Dao together. We shall pass down healing talismans and spiritual techniques to strengthen the body and awaken the mind. We shall teach the Great Peace Demon Canon, honor virtue, and foster harmony. Should I break this oath, may Heaven strike me with lightning and destroy my soul in the deepest depths of the underworld!”

Zhang Liang and Zhang Bao knelt and bowed their heads, declaring in unison, “We are willing to follow our eldest brother, devote all our demonic power to protecting the Way, and spread its teachings without regret. If we ever retreat, may Heaven and Earth reject us!” In an instant, the sky changed color. Dark clouds gathered, lightning flashed, and thunder roared, but this was no calamity. The Heavenly Dao had sensed their sincerity. Countless rays of rosy light descended, becoming streams of golden merit that flowed into the three men's bodies.

Zhang Jue's body shuddered violently. His aura surged like a dragon breaking free of its seal, rising to the peak of the Quasi-Saint realm. Fragments of the laws swirled around him; with every gesture, he could shatter the void and command Heaven and Earth. Zhang Liang and Zhang Bao also blazed with light, advancing to the late Quasi-Saint stage!
