This novel is adapted from the TV series "The Knife Dancer". After the Japanese army captured Nanjing in 1937, Communist Party member Bai Lang and special commissioner Yan Feiyu were ordered by the organization to lead a team to urgently rescue two American doctors who carried key imaging materials of the Nanjing Massacre and fled from Nanjing to Wuhan. After successfully completing the rescue mission, Bailang continued to gather revolutionary forces and completed a series of major tasks such as assassinating Matsumoto Jiechuan, regaining precious national treasures, and exposing and destroying secret negotiations between the Japanese army and the Kuomintang surrender faction.
