Why Not Cross the River Together?

There was an open secret among Hong Kong's wealthy elite.

The most beautiful woman, Chu Luyao, was her husband's ultimate doormat.

On the very first day of their marriage, she willingly signed an agreement giving up all her assets, handing everything she owned to her husband;

just because her husband casually mentioned wanting a pair of discontinued sneakers, she could swallow her pride and work as a maid in his nemesis's home for a month;

if her husband went more than an hour without replying to her messages, she would go crazy and turn the whole world upside down.

Everyone thought she loved her husband to bits, but behind his back, she kept a young lover who looked seven-tenths like him. They carried on together day and night, and she even got pregnant.

She gave the young man all her affection, a car, a house, and even a child.

She had only one demand: he must never bring it to her husband's attention.

"A Du said that once someone betrays him, he will never forgive them. He'll disappear from my world forever. I can't bear that price."

But perhaps she had spoiled him too much. The young man she kept on the side finally grew restless. He sent me a pregnancy test report bearing Chu Luyao's name, along with a string of boastful, taunting messages.
