Me: Consort Mu of Kangxi, Noble Dowager Consort in Empresses in the Palace

[No System + partly behind the scenes + doing my best to give every character a happy ending]

Arriving ten years early, and throwing Empresses in the Palace into chaos!

Zhong Zhuoning had lost count of how many times she had watched Empresses in the Palace. When she opened her eyes again, she had somehow become Niohuru, a low-ranking consort of Kangxi who was mentioned only briefly in the history books.

She had thought she was in an ordinary alternate-history Qing palace, only to discover that she was in Empresses in the Palace.

For some reason, though, she had arrived more than ten years too early.

Still, her identity was truly impressive: she came from a family with deep roots and powerful connections.

Her father was Niohuru Aling’a, her great-grandfather was Eidu, a famed general from the founding of the Qing dynasty, and her grandfather was the Grand Tutor and Duke Guoyigong Ebilun. She also had an aunt who was one of Kangxi’s consorts, Noble Consort Wenxi. In other words, that useless tenth prince was her cousin.

Her mother was an illegitimate daughter of the Uya clan, and a half-sister of Consort De. In other words, Consort De was her aunt, and Yinzhen was her cousin.

But if you traced things back through Kangxi, she was also the stepmother of the fourth and tenth princes.

The relationships were a bit tangled, but such things were hardly unusual in the Qing dynasty.

As a legitimate daughter of the Niohuru clan and a low-ranking consort of Kangxi, as long as she didn’t bring trouble upon herself, she could live comfortably in the palace and enjoy her retirement. She could even sit back and watch the drama unfold.

When Huanhuan meets Prince Guo in the drizzle beneath the apricot blossoms, you say you are Prince Guo. When Sister Mei would rather die clutching her fragrance on the branch...

When An Xiaoniao has a son, Consort Hua sees through the so-called love, and the long-awaited heir to the Empress’s hopes, Honghui, finally has descendants...
