I Died the Day Before His Wedding

On his wedding day, everyone was worried I’d show up and make a scene.

His friend said, still shaken by the thought, “That lovesick fool Shen Yin had better not show her face. We don’t need her bringing bad luck to the wedding.”

Zhou Yue smiled but didn’t argue.

When he saw my father appear, disheveled and raving, a mocking look crossed Zhou Yue’s face.

“Shen Yin really has plenty of tricks up her sleeve. She even sent a madman to cause trouble. Where is she?”

My father looked at him apologetically.

“Xiao Song, Yin Yin is gone. I came to take back her belongings. Could you return the things she gave you back then? Keeping them must be a burden anyway.”

At that, the smug look on Zhou Yue’s face suddenly froze. After a long pause, he regained his composure and said, “I threw them away ages ago. Tell her to stop playing these little games. I’m married now. She should stop trying to disgust me.”

“If she wants to die, she can go die somewhere far away. I don’t want her sticking to me like a dog-skin plaster again someday.”

Later, when he learned I really was dead, he went mad.
