The Search for the Dragon: The Ailao Secret Realm

In the 1970s, educated youths Xu Xingyuan and Wu Pangzi were sent to rural Yunnan. There they crossed paths with Zhang Meng, a specially appointed consultant to an Ailao Mountain scientific expedition. By a twist of fate, Xu Xingyuan and Wu Pangzi became the expedition’s guides.

The Ailao Mountains are shrouded in miasma all year round. The terrain is treacherous, poisonous insects and snakes are everywhere, and countless mysterious, deadly creatures lurk there. It is a forbidden land for humans. Xu Xingyuan and Wu Pangzi hack their way through the jungle, battling the miasma, poisonous bugs, and ferocious beasts. They overcome one survival crisis after another, uncover an ancient tomb hidden deep in the mountains, and gradually lift the veil of mystery surrounding Ailao Mountain.

Afterward, the three become partners. Armed with The Essential Art of Dragon-Shaking and a remarkable gift for locating dragon veins and burial sites, Xu Xingyuan leads Wu Pangzi and Zhang Meng across the country in search of dragon veins, probing burial sites for treasure and fighting to survive against the odds. Together, they write one thrilling new chapter after another in the art of tracking dragon veins and finding hidden treasure.
