On the art scene of a bustling city, young painter Lin Yue meets the mysterious Lu Chen through a painting titled Longing Beneath the Moonlight. Lin Yue is captivated by Lu Chen’s brooding depth and the profound loneliness in his work. They stroll and talk beneath the moon, and love quietly takes root. But the painful past Lu Chen carries, left by the accidental death of his former girlfriend, Su Yao, hangs over them like a shadow. As their feelings deepen, the appearance of the mysterious Qin Hui shatters their peace. Mishaps plague the art exhibitions, Lu Chen is embroiled in accusations of plagiarism, and Lin Yue faces pressure from her family. One crisis follows another. Yet they support each other through every hardship: Lin Yue stubbornly searches for the truth, while Lu Chen struggles to emerge from the darkness. In the end, can they expose Qin Hui’s scheme and restore Lu Chen’s artistic reputation? After all they have endured, can they hold on to their love and turn this longing beneath the moonlight into a lifetime together?
