The Duke Forced Me to Forget Everything and Made Me His Caged Bird

Forced-love setup + ultimate doting from a paternalistic older man + slow-burn romance + age, height, and status gap + sweet flashbacks + HE + romance-focused

A friendly warning: If you like groveling arcs, this may not be for you. The groveling is a long way off, and there isn't much of it.

To Zhou Xuyan, Su Miaomiao is a rose he has devoted everything to, nurturing her with love and tenderness.

To Su Miaomiao, Zhou Xuyan is someone she both loves and hates, a man destined to be entwined with her for life.

That year, Su Miaomiao was twenty, flying to the Western Continent full of anticipation to be with Song Mingzhen, her childhood friend and fiancé.

That year, Zhou Xuyan was thirty, still a cold and aloof noble duke. His only headache was his troublemaking cousin, who was always threatening to hurt himself.

Because of a “defective” potion and the scheming of a villain, Su Miaomiao accidentally drank a memory-loss potion and was rescued by Zhou Xuyan.

The proud, noble duke fell in love with the girl at first sight, and a desire to possess her took hold.

He kept his rose confined in his garden, making her depend on him alone. Using the slow-and-steady approach, Zhou Xuyan gradually won the heart of the beautiful girl with amnesia.

He almost succeeded.

But love did not lead him to take that final, ruinous step.
