17-Year-old high school student Kuroba Kaito's childhood sweetheart is Nakamori Aoko. One day, Kaito accidentally discovers a secret room in his home and learns that his father is the Kaitou Kidd, who was active for a while but disappeared eight years ago. He also suspects that his father did not die in a performance accident, but was murdered. In order to find out the truth behind his father's disappearance, he inherited his father's identity as a phantom thief and used this to lure out the criminal. Later, he learned that the organization that killed his father was looking for Pandora, so Kaito wanted to find Pandora first and destroy it, so he stole gems everywhere to confirm whether it was Pandora. These gems were sent back or discarded by Kaito.
