[A sunshine heroine who turns unhinged later x a shy, reserved hero who becomes a calculating, flirtatious type]
If An Ye had known she would go mad one day, she should have treated the little black dragon better the first time they met.
The day she fell into a cave in a secret realm, the gears of An Ye’s fate began to turn. She thought it was because she had run into the black dragon, a bringer of calamity, but it turned out she had found her savior.
Everyone said the black dragon was a monstrous demon who brought disaster, and misfortune followed An Ye wherever his shadow fell. By saving him, she became a traitor to the immortal sects and was accused of slaughtering her fellow cultivators. She endured three hundred lashes amid ice and snow. But only after the black dragon died for her, bleeding out in the desert’s trial of love, did An Ye realize that he was the one and only salvation of her life.
After he died, she grew strong, invincible and ruthless. She could have everything she wanted, everything except him.
An Ye: “If you ever come back, I’ll protect you at any cost. I’ll make sure everyone knows you’re not to be messed with. Anyone who dares pluck a scale from you, I’ll cut off a hand and a foot. Anyone who dares stab you, I’ll make them suffer a thousand arrows through the heart. No one can hurt you, because you’re mine.”
Black Dragon: “Only you can kill me, because I’ve entrusted my life and death to you… You decide whether I stay or go.”
The writing is good, but the emotions are slow to warm up, but I think it's quite interesting.
