Chu Ling, a peerless prodigy of the cultivation world, was betrayed by his close friend Jiang Fan while undergoing tribulation. Trapped in a desperate situation, his body was shattered, but by some miracle, his soul traveled back into his younger body on Earth. Back then, he was in a sorry state, his spiritual power nearly depleted, yet his eyes still held a sharp glint, and his proud, untamed nature remained unmistakable.
When he first arrives in the prosperous city, Chu Ling encounters Lin Yuexi, a rising star in the business world. Seeing his extraordinary bearing, Lin Yuexi rescues the injured Chu Ling and recruits him into her company. Little does she know that the company's business is mired in trouble, and the mastermind behind it is a commercial empire controlled by Jiang Fan. Jiang Fan has built a vast dark power in the city. He appears charitable on the surface, but is ruthless behind closed doors, controlling underground casinos and smuggling prohibited goods, repeatedly putting obstacles in Chu Ling and Lin Yuexi's way.
As Chu Ling reveals his immortal arts and resolves one crisis after another, old grievances gradually come to light. Jiang Fan realizes Chu Ling's identity and, wary of him, develops murderous intent. A life-or-death showdown is imminent. From the treacherous battleground of the business world to hidden corners where supernatural powers collide, Chu Ling strikes back with the strength of his cultivation techniques. Lin Yuexi stays by his side, facing danger with him.
On the night of the final battle, dark clouds press down over the city as Jiang Fan uses every last trump card to transform into an evil monster. Chu Ling casts off his mortal garb, ignites spiritual flames, and summons his life-bound immortal weapon. Light and shadow intertwine as the city trembles. At the critical moment, Lin Yuexi leads the city's people in prayer, gathering the power of hope. With their support, Chu Ling delivers a fatal blow and kills his sworn enemy. After this battle, Chu Ling decides to stay in the city and protect its peace with Lin Yuexi, continuing his legendary path of cultivation in the mortal world.
