Ye Jinsu and Xie Yuan are sworn enemies.
Ye Jinsu has disguised herself as a man since childhood and made her way through the army, rising to the rank of junior general. She is forthright and bold, and in private, she enjoys listening to male opera singers and all sorts of other pastimes.
Xie Yuan is the heir to a marquis's estate, a frail scholar and the Crown Prince's study companion. As for his looks, he's even more beautiful than a woman. With his delicate, willowy appearance, he's like a fox spirit made flesh, irresistible to men and women alike.
Each serves his own master. They have always been at odds, fighting as if their lives depended on it.
Ye Jinsu took the wheels off his carriage, ruining his grand plan.
Xie Yuan found more than a dozen female dogs for her war wolf, ruining its fearsome reputation.
Ye Jinsu called him a sissy.
Xie Yuan called her a short-legged dwarf who couldn't even climb onto a horse.
At last, one day, Ye Jinsu got drunk and ordered two soldiers to pin Xie Yuan down.
“Finally, you've fallen into my hands. I'll make sure you regret it!”
