I have always wanted to write a few short stories about my native family, growth, patriarchal preference and self-salvation. I have had this idea for several years, but I have not written it for three reasons: first, I don't know whether I should write it; second, time is too short to persevere; third, it involves many real events that cannot be explained by science, and some of them are weird and I am afraid of scaring everyone.
I wrote the beginning several times, but then deleted it when I thought it was inappropriate. As I grow older, I have lost many relatives and friends around me. Some of them are natural aging, some are accidents, some are diseases... These shocks make me more and more afraid of life and more and more reverent for life.
Fortunately, I took my mother for a physical examination. Except for high blood sugar, all her indicators were better than mine. And my health is not that good, so I'd better write! After all, not everyone can live to old age.
I think that there should be many people like me who have experienced the transition between the old and the new. I hope that if I write about it, they can see it. In the book, I can find the answers to the footsteps of our growth and the formation of our personalities when we grow up, so that we can feel relieved. Our previous generation, or the generation after that, were conservative, and everything was arranged step by step. Even when faced with the preference for boys over girls, they still recognized it engraved in their bones. However, they were simple and happy. After the 1980s and 1990s, when we encountered the reform and opening up, we had the opportunity to go out and see the world. We learned more about the outside world. We were no longer rigid. We saw more scenery and had more ideas, from the world to ourselves. So, we began to examine our own childhood and experiences, and we began to be unhappy!
