Beneath the Bodhi Tree, Let Go of Obsession and Return Home

After learning that Fu Xingnan had cheated on her, she returned to Nanhua Temple and found her master, agreeing to become the next abbot. Everyone envied Fu Xingnan and Cheng Simian, the perfect couple, and their once-fairytale romance. But she didn't want to keep pretending not to know. And she couldn't share her husband with someone else. In the main hall, Fu Xingnan clutched the hem of her robe and begged, “Simian, I was wrong. Come back with me.” “Devotee, you've mistaken me for someone else. My Dharma name is Minghui...” The bodhi-bead bracelet, a symbol of devotion, snapped apart, its beads turning into chinaberry seeds. Better to leave and return home as soon as she could.
