An Ordinary Grandma Takes Her Infamously Scandalous Grandson to Stardom on a Variety Show

[Showbiz + farming + secret identity + family drama] (A tough guy on the outside but hopelessly lovestruck inside vs. a genuinely badass heroine) (Family is the focus at first, romance later) Gu Nianlin hit his peak the moment he debuted, not as a huge star, but as the most hated man around. Just as he thought it would all end when his contract expired, his unscrupulous company tried to squeeze every last bit of value out of him. A bet-the-company contract sent him onto the most controversial family reality show currently on air. The show had just one requirement: bring along your family. Gu Nianlin, who had grown up in an orphanage: ... Just as he was at a loss and could only accept the company’s over-the-top scripted arrangements, a young woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The girl, who called herself his great-aunt, said he was the sole heir to the Lin family’s hundred-billion fortune. At that moment, the gloomy skies finally brightened. After reuniting with his family, Gu Nianlin realized how shallow he had been. In his great-aunt’s eyes, a hundred-billion fortune was nothing at all. Lin Yirou was the last surviving member of the overseas Lin family. Just as she thought there would be no one to inherit her hundred-billion fortune, the System she had unexpectedly acquired told her that she still had family in faraway Huaguo. “Are you sure?” Lin Yirou split a thick log with a powerful swing of her axe. The System trembled. “Absolutely. He’s a celebrity everyone knows.” To ensure her fortune had an heir, Lin Yirou set off for home to find her family. Lin Yirou thought her grandson was a superstar famous across the internet. She didn’t expect him to be infamous across the internet. Lin Yirou declared, “Don’t be afraid, dear grandson. It’s just a little variety show. Your great-aunt will take it over herself!” Gu Nianlin: “Great-Aunt, please take it easy! I didn’t ask you to take it over by force!”
