[The Four Seasons in the Countryside · Everyday Life · Campus Bonds · Farming to Support the Family · Fighting to Change One’s Fate]

When a father is useless, his son suffers; when a son is useless, his father has to bow his head. If no one in three generations can build the family up, it will fall apart! Nan Shanglong’s ancestors for three generations were all people dealt a hard lot in life. His father was honest and hardworking, making a living by farming, while his mother got cancer, and the cost of her surgery drained the family’s savings.

Who says poor families can’t produce exceptional children? Nan Shanglong refuses to believe in fate or accept it. He isn’t willing to follow in his father’s footsteps and is determined to make something of himself. He inherited his parents’ kindness and has a stubborn, never-say-die streak of his own. He earns excellent grades and gets into the best high school in the county, and when he can’t afford tuition, he works to pay for it himself.

Outstanding people always attract the opposite sex. At school, Nan Shanglong is every girl’s dream guy. He manages to excel in both his studies and his love life, making him a true winner in life.

Heaven favors those who work hard. If you haven’t succeeded, you simply haven’t worked hard enough!
