A Witch's Afternoon Tea

Dark fairy-tale author Yu Fan became famous around the world overnight with her work The Loss of Grimm. After seven years of writing fairy tales, she has gone from utter obscurity to sudden fame, and can hardly believe it. One day, she opens a “book of answers,” and from that moment on, she keeps encountering strange events and unknown “creatures.” She gradually discovers that these events and creatures all come from the fairy tale she created, The Loss of Grimm. Yu Fan's encounters with them feel like a bizarre, fantastical dream. But in the space between reality and illusion, who can say this isn't also a journey of self-exile? No one knows what answer lies ahead, and no one even understands the truth of the “self.” And what of the “world”? Is it really as it appears to us? We live surrounded by the unknown, unaware that the unknown is also part of us. Faced with a road ahead shrouded in doubt, where do we go from here?
