(The male and female leads solve mysteries together + part Gu cultivation, part ghost cultivation + intense push and pull + the female lead can change gender)
The male and female leads are devoted to each other as they search for the truth behind a death from nineteen years ago.
Yue Chen: You may ask me to cultivate Gu with you.
Chang Jiu: The greatest Crimson Blood Witch in the world is asking a sickly medicine pot like you to cultivate Gu together?
Yue Chen: Mm.
Chang Jiu: What a joke. Your spiritual bones are ruined, you have no Yuan Sea, and your frail, sickly body would be courting death if you tried to cultivate Gu.
Yue Chen: It doesn’t matter. You’re my vessel. We should make use of everything.
Chang Jiu: ??
Yue Chen: I mean, I planted Gu in you.
Chang Jiu: I have a Bewitching Sea Evil Body. What does it matter if you plant Gu in me?
Yue Chen: I mean, what if I poison you while planting Gu in you, then turn myself into the antidote? Wouldn’t that bind us together?
Chang Jiu: ??
Yue Chen: So, will you ask me to cultivate Gu with you now? And uncover the truth together?
