This is the story of Mu Xiaoxiao's difficult and heartbreaking life. Orphaned at a young age, she was taken in by Grandma Fang, the director of an orphanage, on a stormy night. Thus began her lonely but resilient childhood. At the orphanage, she was sensible and obedient, helping with chores and finding comfort in the company of her childhood friend, Deng Zeningxuan. But after her birth parents found her, she had no choice but to part with Deng Zening.
Later, Mu Xiaoxiao loses her memory in a car accident. As an adult, she saves Deng Zening from a group of pursuers, and the two are drawn together. As they grow older, their feelings deepen, and they share many warm, happy moments, cooking and traveling together and savoring the sweetness of love. But as an adult, Deng Zening becomes absorbed in the family business, and the scheming, fake-sweet Lin Wan'er enters his life. Lin Wan'er repeatedly sabotages them and creates misunderstandings, driving a wedge between Mu Xiaoxiao and Deng Zening and leaving them constantly at odds.
In the end, after learning the truth, Mu Xiaoxiao is too exhausted to try to mend things. She walks into the raging sea and ends her life, leaving Deng Zening on the shore, consumed by grief and regret. Their once-deep love becomes a heartbreaking tragedy, leaving only memories to mourn.
