In the city of Dunwall in the middle of the English Sea, a bloody coup tore apart the peace of the empire. The queen was assassinated, Princess Kasha became an exile, and her former glory was reduced to ashes. In the misty mountains and forests of Cochise Island, she accidentally awakened the Mark of the Outsider and was accepted by the mysterious Hidden Ones organization, transforming from a delicate princess into a shadow assassin.
On one side are the obsession for revenge and interlocking power conspiracies; on the other are the curses and gifts of the Mark of the Outsider, as well as the secrets hidden deep within the organization, and the protection and betrayal across blood lines. When the Hidden Ones' creed of freedom collides with the Order's iron-fisted order, and when personal destiny is involved in the fateful vortex of the generational cycle, Kai'Sa must make a choice in the dark: Should she become a puppet of hatred, or break the cycle and regain her own destiny?
This is an epic intertwined with shadow stealth, supernatural power and the secrets of the empire. In the tempering of blood and fire, it writes the final chapter about redemption, freedom and blood bonds.
This is a book that I wrote from middle school to college. It is also a reflection of my mental journey. I constructed the plot during countless nights, and I only wanted to present the world in my mind and realize my unfinished dream.
