Just after transmigrating to a parallel world, Lu Yu joins his childhood sweetheart Yu Shuxin for the auditions of the show Next Stop: Star, where he awakens a Progress Bar System.
Lu Yu can see the growth progress of a host of female stars, including Liu Yifei, Yang Mi, Nazha, Dilraba, Bai Lu, and Meng Ziyi.
Adjust their progress and raise stars? This entertainment-industry gig is pretty sweet.
Lu Yu becomes a god of entertainment and a guide to a host of female stars. Haters, what have you got to say about him now?
Liu Yifei: I couldn't have achieved what I have today without Lu Yu's help.
Yang Mi: Are you okay? He's Lu Yu, and you're trying to hate on him?
Nazha: Qiong ha! I got tricked by Lu Yu.
Dilraba: There's someone very important in my life, and that's Lu Yu.
Bai Lu: Hahaha... Lu Yu helped me grow!
Meng Ziyi: How would my career be thriving without Lu Yu?
Reporter: Lu Yu, in the latest poll, you are miles ahead with more than twice the votes of the runner-up. You beat Guo Xiaosi, Haitao, Zhang Da, and a host of other male stars to be named the most disliked male star. People gave a remarkably consistent reason: they say you're a player. What do you think about that?
Lu Yu: I'm just a guide to female stars.
