Before the Wedding, My Mother-in-Law Got Pregnant with Her Second Child

A week before the wedding, my mother-in-law announced on her social media that she was expecting a second child.

Friends and relatives flooded the comments with congratulations. Someone made a snide remark: "Your new daughter-in-law just married into the family, and now she has to raise her brother-in-law. Aren't you worried she won't be happy about it?"

My mother-in-law ignored them, but tagged me in the comments: "My daughter-in-law isn't petty like that. She's filial and generous. When our second child goes to school and gets married, we'll be relying on my eldest son and daughter-in-law to help out!"
