Married into the Same Family

My eldest sister was known in the capital as one of the most fortunate wives a man could have.

Because of her auspicious fate, the Duke’s Estate took an interest in her, despite her being a concubine-born daughter, and chose her as a bride to bring good luck to their ailing heir!

Before the wedding, my sister was worried about me and insisted I marry with her.

She would be the wife, and I would be the concubine!

I was over the moon.

I raised a huge fuss at the Qu residence and forced Father to agree.

But the Duke’s Estate refused, saying I was a fool and that taking me in would bring disgrace upon their name.

My sister, however, said that if I couldn’t marry, then neither would she.

Only then did the Duke’s Estate have no choice but to give in.

When the peach blossoms filled the garden in the third month, my sister and I were carried into the Duke’s Estate at the same time.

On our wedding night, I yanked off my red veil first and got into a fight with the guards blocking the bridal chamber door.

Rumors spread everywhere after that: the Censor’s two daughters had fought over the right to share the bed, nearly making the Duke turn in his grave!

My sister calmly reassured me, “It’s fine. The three of us living well together is what matters most!”

But two months later, when the Duke recovered, my sister handed in a divorce agreement.

If my sister was leaving, then I was leaving too!
