“Meng Yu, Traveler, you think you’re pursuing some so-called greater good, but you’re nothing more than reckless, ignorant ants.” The icy voice echoed through the crumbling void, seeming to pierce every crack and burrow into their ears, striking straight at their hearts. It was both distant and oppressive, filled with an irresistible authority and despair.
“I protect this world, weaving a tranquil web with rules and order, while you brazenly tear through it, hoping to reshape the heavens and earth according to your own whims.” The Heavenly Principles’ figure was indistinct, veiled in mist, yet its presence pressed everyone down so they could not even raise their heads.
She looked gently at the Star Abyss Hermit and said, “The hatred in your heart is like a fog, blinding you.” The Star Abyss Hermit gave a cold snort. “Lady Dendro Archon, you don’t understand Khaenri'ah’s grievances. I did what I did for justice.” Nahida gently shook her head. “The path of revenge will never bring true peace. I’m willing to seek a better solution with you.” The Star Abyss Hermit fell into thought. Though the hatred in his heart had not faded, Nahida’s words still stirred a ripple deep within him.
