After Failing to Become a God, I Focused on Scheming for Power

It was quite comfortable to watch at first, but as it went on it became more and more uncomfortable. Let me start with what I personally think is the most toxic point. It is written like a female channel. She is obviously very powerful. According to the author's description, in a specific environment (Xuanyin Palace), the protagonist can even compete with the masters of the nine palaces at the same time. According to the setting shown so far, he is invincible in the world. But it happens that such an invincible protagonist has been running for a small sect, and has been limited by the human relationships between one small sect after another. You said you didn't want to show your strength, but a pavilion master of Xuanyin Palace, who was said to be directly affiliated with the palace master, was directly threatened by you with his strength. Even he himself felt that he could not survive in the hands of the protagonist. As a result, the strength shown by the protagonist was not taken seriously by the nine major halls, and they even thought that he was just an elder of a small sect. Many times it doesn't look like a world of cultivating immortals. Even if there are a few powerful forces suppressing it, the weak always have to respect the strong. There seems to be no division of levels. A true immortal elder, even if the sect is weak, will not try to please some heavenly immortals or even earthly immortal disciples.
