My Online Date Turned Out to Be My Sharp-Tongued Boss

Three days ago, I mailed the stinky socks I’d saved up for a week to my online sweetheart.

Then, while delivering some documents to the CEO, I walked in on him being extremely busy at the bathroom sink.

Gu Zhi had abandoned his usual domineering CEO image. He was wearing a sleeveless undershirt with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

Standing at the bathroom sink, he was scrubbing a pair of white socks patterned with strawberries.

The cotton knee-highs were being rubbed and kneaded between his hands, producing a rich lather. They looked so silky.

But why did those socks seem so familiar?

Then I looked at the bag sitting to one side.

I pretended to casually straighten my tie and stammered, “Mr. Gu, whose socks are those? Why are you washing them yourself?”

Gu Zhi smiled smugly.

“My wife’s, of course I have to wash them myself.”

It felt like a bolt from the blue!

What wife? I’m a man!
