Miss Ruan, Believe in Love. Mr. Lu Is a Catch

【No getting back together after the breakup + forceful male lead takes control + marriage first, love later + devoted to each other】 Before the wedding, Ruan Youning’s fiancé shows up at a banquet with another woman and flaunts their relationship. Ruan Youning becomes a laughingstock. To outsiders, she’s Zhou Ze’s shadow, the puppy who comes running and wagging her tail the moment he beckons. Everyone thinks Ruan Youning is madly in love with Zhou Ze. Only she knows the truth: her love died after Zhou Ze put her through one humiliation after another. She needs a chance to escape her predicament. Just as she’s about to go down fighting, Lu Xiaozuo, the most overbearing head of the Lu family, sweeps into her life. The first time they meet, Lu Xiaozuo tells Ruan Youning, “Be my wife. I mean the kind who gets a marriage certificate.” He gives her no chance to back out, forcefully becoming part of her life. But after losing Ruan Youning, Zhou Ze regrets it and starts pestering her relentlessly. Lu Xiaozuo: “Is that loser better than me? Still not tired of him?” “You’re no catch either.” Ruan Youning doesn’t believe in love or marriage. Zhou Ze’s constant put-downs have stripped her of any hope of finding love. She has seen her parents’ marriage fall apart, so she trusts marriage even less. Lu Xiaozuo uses his unwavering determination to show her that love does exist in this world. She just hasn’t met it before.
