After watching both versions of Lotus Lantern, I came up with some different ideas about the character Xiaoyu.
What would Xiaoyu be like if she grew up with Yang Jian and Master Yuding, and was cherished by the Third Princess?
Note: Chenxiang’s father remains the same.
Yang Jian, as played by Jiao Enjun, is simply the gold standard. As for the love and hate between him and the Third Princess of the West Sea (personally, I don’t think there was any real hatred), I wanted to give them a different ending too, especially the Third Princess, who let love turn to hate, dared to love, and ultimately became an ordinary dragon because of love.
I’ll try to stay true to the characters in the TV series, but some characters will inevitably be OOC, and I’ll be adding a few new ones as well.
This is my first time writing, and my skills are limited, so please don’t set your expectations too high.
