A greedy, flirtatious little physician who acts sweet but is rebellious to the core vs. the pure, cold, frail third young master of the Chief Counselor's household
Disguised as a man vs. both leads remain pure vs. absolutely mutual devotion vs. later, the heroine is mistaken for her mentor's replacement, but the male lead is the one who resembles someone else; the heroine chases her husband through hell and back
Xue Tao, an ordinary office worker just passing through, transmigrates into a palace-intrigue novel as a cannon-fodder junior physician. Life as a wage slave is hard enough, and the tyrant emperor keeps threatening to have her buried alive with him!
① “Pei Mo, you're burning up...”
“Get away!”
The third young master of the Chief Counselor's household is poisoned by an aphrodisiac. Unable to bear seeing a beauty as pure as ice and crystal suffer, he throws himself forward to kiss her. A passionate night follows, naturally.
“Love at first sight? No, no, I was just taken by your looks!”
“You want to use me and then abandon me? I'll cling to you for the rest of my life!”
② Her true identity is reluctantly exposed, and the tyrant emperor actually wants to take her into his harem?
“Don't you like wealth and status? Serve me, and you'll live the good life!”
“N-no!”
③ “Actually, it's your good fortune to look a little like my master!”
“Is it my good fortune, or my misfortune? All these years of love and time, was it all wasted?”
P.S. The heroine's personality makes her rather proactive, but she's no doormat! The substitute-lover trope comes from an unavoidable misunderstanding, and there won't be too much angst.
Please encourage the author. The first part is pretty good, but the second part is a bit hard to comment on, but the author is so good at throwing hooks that I can keep reading.
