This album tells the story of how the Jurchens living in the Changbai Mountain area survived, developed and grew from the early 15th century to the mid-17th century. What is displayed is how Nurhachi and his ancestors, as a branch of the Jurchens, kept a low profile and accumulated strength during the middle and late Ming Dynasty for more than a hundred years. They then took advantage of the extreme corruption in the late Ming Dynasty and cleverly used various contradictions to unify the Jianzhou Jurchens and Liaodong Jurchens, and then occupied the entire Northeast, establishing the post-Jin Dynasty.
