My Boyfriend and I Got Married on the Same Day

A video of my boyfriend proposing to his secretary went viral. Everyone called it romantic and moving.

The secretary even posted a public declaration of love: “I finally got to wait for you. I’m so glad I never gave up. Mr. Li, I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you.”

The comments were full of people gushing: “I ship them so hard! The secretary and the domineering CEO are the sweetest couple ever!”

I didn’t cry or make a scene. I quietly closed the page and went to my boyfriend for an explanation.

Then I heard him talking to a friend. “I had no choice. If I didn’t marry her, her family would force her to marry some man she doesn’t love.”

“What about Xia Xia? She’s your real girlfriend. Aren’t you worried she’ll be angry?”

“What can she do, even if she is? Xia Xia has been with me for seven years. She can’t leave me.”

Later, he and I got married on the same day.

Our wedding cars passed each other. As the brides exchanged bouquets, he saw me in the car opposite, and completely fell apart.
