Tang's Heavenly Strategies
Chapter 1: A Visitor from Another World
Zhang Jing'an was an ordinary person living in a modern city, leading a mundane but busy life. It was an afternoon that seemed just like any other. The city bustled as usual, traffic streamed along the streets, and people hurried along their own paths. Sunlight was broken up by the high-rises into irregular shapes, spilling across the ground in patches of light and shadow.
After finishing work for the day, Zhang Jing'an dragged his somewhat weary body along the road home. His mind was still full of the troubles and pressures of work, and he had no idea that the wheels of fate were about to begin spinning at breakneck speed.
Just as he crossed an intersection, an out-of-control truck came hurtling toward him like a wild horse that had broken free of its reins. Amid the shrill screech of brakes and the terrified shouts of people nearby, Zhang Jing'an's world plunged into darkness.
When his consciousness returned, Zhang Jing'an found himself in a completely unfamiliar place. He opened his eyes to a vast, boundless wilderness. Weeds swayed gently in the breeze, as though the earth itself were breathing. Mountain ranges rose and fell in the distance like sleeping giants, their slopes blanketed by dark green forests that gave them a mysterious, profound air. The sky was as blue as a sapphire, yet its clarity felt unfamiliar. White clouds floated through it like cotton candy, and every so often a few birds swept past, leaving behind a string of clear calls.
