The patient nodded, then added: “And you. In my story, you agreed to their demands to save me, and became the new Observer.”
Doctor: “Who are they? Who is the Observer?”
The patient shook his head. The doctor changed the question: “In your story, were we close?”
The patient nodded. “You said you loved me, and I loved you too.”
