War of Resistance: Bloodbath in 1937

[Alternate-history fiction, no System, and no golden fingers.]

If an ordinary person who knows nothing transmigrated to the 1937 Battle of Shanghai, could he survive against well-equipped, well-trained Japanese soldiers and their coordinated assaults by land, sea, and air?

What did he go through as he went from thinking only of escape to fighting desperately in the bloodshed?

This novel aims to stay close to history and be as realistic as possible.

Please don't nitpick the locations or names. The author is doing their best to research everything, and already has a lot on their plate.
