The protagonist, Chen Kai, was an office worker born in the 2000s on Blue Star, earning a meager monthly salary and living a plain, thoroughly mediocre life. But after the System chose him, the course of his life changed. Once he learned more, Chen Kai discovered everything from the System: it would randomly send him to transmigrate into xianxia television dramas filmed on Blue Star. The people and everything else there were exactly like reality, even their appearances, but that world had no connection to Blue Star. Its inhabitants had no memories of Blue Star and would only behave as prescribed by the dramas. Chen Kai had to win over the women in three character profiles before he could enter the next xianxia drama world. Once he chose to transmigrate into a xianxia drama world, he could never return to Blue Star. However, all newly filmed xianxia dramas on Blue Star would be added to the System’s database for him to enter. After completing each conquest, Chen Kai could choose to stay in that drama’s world for as long as he wanted, or transmigrate directly to the next xianxia drama world. After learning all this, Chen Kai, with the System’s help, left a deep impression on the people in every xianxia drama world.
