A Treasury of Bedtime Stories for Little Ones

The moments before sleep are when human memory is clearest and strongest, and ages one to four are the best time for intellectual development. Listening to a story before bed will benefit a child for a lifetime. Stories can reach parts of the mind that direct instruction cannot. Both adults and children can find reliable ways to solve their problems in stories. This shows that stories do more than reflect life and reveal the world: they also positively influence character development and have educational value.
