Synopsis

A beautiful, hot-tempered princess consort × a prince with paralyzed legs, gentle on the outside but devious within (he'll get better! I swear!)

An imperial decree arranges a marriage between the Song family and Prince Jingkang, who has suffered from a leg ailment for years. The whole capital breathes a sigh of relief.

That's because rumors say Xie Runzhi is cursed, having brought about the deaths of three wives. He's hideous in appearance and ugly inside, too.

Song Xiangwei scoffs. What's the big deal? One slap for women, two for men, and eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms for anyone who tries to play tricks!

But when she flings open the door, she finds a man inside, as handsome and refined as a piece of jade, with a face like peach blossoms. He tilts his head innocently and asks sweetly, “My lady, who has upset you? I'll tear the scoundrel limb from limb.”

Every time those watery, round puppy-dog eyes blink, Song Xiangwei's heart skips a beat. At last, she turns and flees through the door.

Left alone in the room, Xie Runzhi sits in his wheelchair, stroking his handsome face and chuckling.

The more Song Xiangwei thinks about it, the angrier she gets. She can't help turning around and opening the door again.

Xie Runzhi's eyes brim with tears as he says in a trembling voice, “My lady, my leg hurts...”

Song Xiangwei: “...”

Xie Runzhi looks pitiful. “My lady... could you rub it for me?”

Song Xiangwei: “...Does it really hurt that badly?”

This woman falls for the handsome man's charms and willingly puts herself at his service from then on (shakes head).
