Everything seemed so harmonious and orderly, as though these peaceful days would go on forever. No one expected an apocalyptic catastrophe to strike. A colossal danger lurked in the shadows like a giant beast lying in wait, silently opening its bloody maw, ready to devour every beautiful thing in the world.
