I have a suggestion, because the male protagonist is a policeman, don't be abstract when you put on the uniform. When you take off the uniform, it can be abstract but a little more restrained, such as the place where the flower children are sold. I suggest changing it so that normal people will know it is a scam, and the police will react immediately.
