[Partly autobiographical, partly fantasy

Death is certainly simple. It can even solve every problem a person has. Once you choose death, everything comes to an end.
But... what if it doesn't?
What if the suffering isn't over?
This is an underworld where the dead come close to living forever. It has four regions, each governed by its own regulator. You could call it a subjective world, but as the saying goes, conflicts between people are inevitable. There will be fights, arguments, and disputes. None of that is unusual. Here, people have a chance to start over, because true death is forever out of reach.
People here often ask their friends:
"Tell me, why did you choose death instead of choosing to keep living?"
Zheng Xiaodong and Fu Zhongsheng have both been asked this question, but in the end their answer is always the same.
"Because that place is hell, and this place is heaven...
And because here, there is no true death."
