“My golden finger has arrived?” Lu Xiu’s heart surged with excitement, and he decisively chose “Draw.”

A flash of light revealed a huge wheel, covered in icons for evolution potions, combat skills, survival gear, and other apocalyptic treasures.

As the wheel spun, Lu Xiu’s heart raced. He stared at it without blinking.

“Ding! Successful draw! One bottle of S-rank evolution potion!”

Lu Xiu uncorked the bottle with trembling hands. A fresh scent wafted over him, lifting his spirits.

He downed it in one gulp.

A warm current flooded his body as his strength rose. His muscles trembled, as if something inside him had awakened.

Lu Xiu stared in astonishment. His chest seemed to glow faintly, though his appearance was otherwise unchanged.

“System! Draw again!”

Excited, Lu Xiu spun the wheel once more. This time, he won the combat skill “Gale Slash.”

The skill entered his mind, and sword techniques flowed through his thoughts. He swung his dagger, sending a flash of blade-light streaking through the air and leaving afterimages in its wake.

“Awesome!”

Lu Xiu threw back his head and laughed.
