The Pathetic Life of a Stay-at-Home Husband

For my wife, I chose to become a househusband.

Even though people mocked me for living off my wife, seeing the radiant smiles on her and our daughter's faces made it all worthwhile.

It wasn't until middle age that I discovered my wife was having an affair with her superior at the law firm.

I wanted a divorce, but my parents urged me to endure it for our daughter's sake.

Remembering all those years of warm family life, I began learning how to win my wife back.

I humbled myself completely, but my wife couldn't care less and asked me for a divorce.

She said she'd settled for me for over a decade, and now she wanted to find true love.

When our daughter found out, she sided with her mother and urged me to get a divorce.

She thought a man like me, who lived off his wife, wasn't good enough for her lawyer mother.

Only in the end did I learn that my wife had never been mine, and neither had my daughter.
