Reborn at the Start of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea

I can't tell whether I transmigrated or was reborn, because I feel as if I had a very long dream. The dream felt both real and unreal.

It felt real because the person in the dream had the same name as me and lived all the way to 2024, dying of natural causes. But it felt unreal because I'm clearly alive and well now, and I can still remember everything from the past few years.

Whether this is a dream or reality, and whether I transmigrated or was reborn, since I'm alive and well now, I'm going to make the most of life in this era.

My name is Lin Sheng. I was born in 1935. My surname is Lin because my mother gave birth to me in a little grove, so she named me after it.

It's 1950, and I'm sixteen this year, by traditional reckoning. My family has started arranging a marriage for me. I'm the eldest, and if I don't marry, my two younger brothers won't be able to marry either. My second brother, Lin An, is two years younger than me, and my third brother, Lin Ping, is four years younger.

These days, people born in the countryside tend to marry young. Although the government required people to be eighteen before marrying after the founding of the People's Republic, very few waited that long.

Rural families are poor these days. If there's enough to eat and the couple get along when they meet, the marriage is usually settled, and it lasts a lifetime. There is widowhood, but no such thing as divorce.

Recently, I became certain that I had been reborn or transmigrated, because I somehow have a space where I can grow crops, raise livestock, and keep a pond.
