Chen Wei transmigrates to the Qing dynasty, becoming Yongzhang, the emperor’s third son, at just five years old. When the emperor is assassinated, a mysterious force takes him away, but he manages to escape and ends up wandering the streets as a beggar. He is later adopted by the younger brother of Lin Daiyu’s father, from the Lin family. On his way back to the capital as an adult, he meets Chu Qiao, a street performer who travels from place to place. Chu Qiao is quite crafty: he steals Chen Wei’s keepsake, the Longevity Lock, and passes himself off as a prince. As it happens, the Longevity Lock contains a space of its own, and only the true prince can open it. How can Chen Wei become the rightful prince, and can he ever return to the modern world?
